Arian started her professional wrestling career after having participated as a participant in WWE Diva Search and Tough Enough (2011). Total Divas joined her after she was eliminated in the tag team match 7 on 7, in a match against True Divas, in September 2013. Mendes was the person who defeated her. In February 2014, she won her first big win in her Elimination Chamber Episode where she beat AJ Lee to become Divas Champion. The same day she fought Lee in another rematch and fell to Lee. Ariana was then able to take her revenge on Lee at her first match at the Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational in which Lee also won. Ariana was with Naomi Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes, Summer Rae and Summer Rae in July 2014 to take on Nikki Bella in the handicap in a six-on-one game. She only was on stage for an attack of Nikki and Naomi. At the Battleground pre-show, she was joined by Naomi. Ariana won over Naomi during this contest. Then, the competition between them began. They engaged in several tag-teams and handicap matches throughout the summer. Ariana wrestled in a variety of matches against other wrestlers among them Paige Bella twins Alicia Fox as well as Asuka.
